Gorell Named Energy Star^® Partner of the Year for the Third Consecutive Year.

Gorell Becomes First Window Manufacturer To Receive ENERGY STAR^® "Sustained Excellence Award"

Gorell Enterprises, Inc., was recently honored with the prestigious “Sustained Excellence” Award by the U.S. Department of Energy and the EPA for its continued leadership in protecting the environment through energy efficiency. Gorell became the first window manufacturer in the country to receive this distinction when the company was named ENERGY STAR^® “Partner of the Year” for the third consecutive year in 2006.

The “Sustained Excellence” Award is given to a select group of organizations that have exhibited outstanding leadership year after year. Gorell was recognized for setting aggressive goals, employing innovative approaches and showing others what can be achieved through energy efficiency. Gorell’s accomplishments were honored at an awards banquet in Washington, D.C. on March 21, 2006.

A partner in the program since 1999, Gorell was selected as ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year—in 2004, 2005 and 2006—from thousands of organizations that participate in the ENERGY STAR program each year. 2006 Sustained Excellence winners in other categories included GE Consumer Products, Whirlpool Corp., Maytag Corp. and Sears.
